Monstercat’s mission is to create artist sustainability - that means we work hard to support artists in being able to do what they love for a living. To do this, we are constantly on the lookout for the most innovative and novel ways we can support artists to get there via community-building, partnership opportunities, and good old publicity. It’s also important to us that artists receive transparent and equitable compensation. If this resonates with you and your values, this might be the place for you to build your career!

Company Values

Community is at the heart of everything we do, nurtured by an inclusive culture of collaboration, diversity, positivity, and inspiring music.

In order to grow we always ask questions, remain open to fresh perspectives, and challenge ourselves to think differently

We hold ourselves accountable and follow through on our word, with honest and respectful communication.

We don’t fear failure. Anything is possible; if we can conceive it, we can achieve it.

Community has always been at the heart of what we do - to our artists, our fans, and our staff. We care deeply about creating a welcoming environment for all who want to participate and share their passion for music. We know that as a music label we have the opportunity and obligation to do what we can to ensure all feel welcome. Here are some commitments we have made with our community in mind:

  • To work with Monstercat, we hold our artists to our Code of Ethics
  • To work at Monstercat, we hold our staff of our Code of Conduct
  • Monstercat is committed to proactively developing our equity, diversity, and inclusion practices. Our commitment is outlined further here.

Our offices

Company-wide we are a team of 60+ and growing! We are headquarted in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, with offices in Los Angeles, California and Singapore. We offer a hybrid work environment - the requirement to work physically from an office for a set amount of work hours is determined by each role's duties and responsibilities. Outside of that, the choice to work from the office or remotely is up to each employee.

We feel passionate about offering emerging career individuals the opportunity to gain real-world work experience. Internships at Monstercat are perfect for students and new grads looking to gain experience in marketing, partnerships (sales), graphic design, events, A&R, and more. No coffee fetching and photocopying here - we offer our interns the opportunity to complete a project that will support their professional development and look great to future employers. As the purpose of our intern program is to offer a glimpse into working at a record label, we’d like to set the expectation that our internship program is not a trial for employment. When our internship opportunities arise, they will be posted here on our careers page under job listings, so check back regularly!
