Born from experiences with Balinese culture and its ethos, Warung serves as a profound inspiration for the sound and project of Aaron Hopkins and Dillon Ames. Both Aaron and Dillon decided to set aside their solo endeavors to cultivate something rich together, aiming to create an organic music identity reminiscent of family businesses in Bali. Now in its seventh year, Warung is garnering attention from top labels and brands worldwide, including a continued partnership with the Anjunadeep label and releases with notable names like Armada, This Never Happened, and Shen. Over the past seven years, they have achieved numerous chart positions on Beatport, including a six-month stint at #1 on the Breaks chart with their record "Illusive." Warung recently celebrated milestones such as their first Anjunadeep Open Air event in NYC and their third year at The Explorations Festival in Albania. They have been supported and championed by numerous tastemakers, including Sasha, Korolova, Pete Tong, Bicep, Paul Van Dyk, Tiësto, Sub Focus, Armin van Buuren, Tale of Us, and Deep Dish. Their records have charted on Beatport and received airplay on BBC Radio 1, KCRW LA, NPR, and Sirius XM. With a strong trajectory in the music industry, Warung is poised to make a lasting impact and shows no signs of slowing down. An identity continues to be built, a culture shared, and an ethos realized.
