Simona Shao

Simona Shao, a Los Angeles native, is a classically trained pianist who began studying music at the age of 4. As a studio musician and singer-songwriter, she has released a diverse body of work spanning multiple genres, with hit songs like "BRIGHT" with electronic producer Atura and "Off My Head" with acclaimed bass house legend Habstrakt. While making her stake in the EDM world with releases on Insomniac, Monstercat, and Gold Digger Records, she also released her own hybrid pop EP titled "Waves" in 2025. She is a merited global performer, with a bronze trophy from the 2012 International Beijing Water Cube Competition and 1st place awards from ICN Network’s “American Stars” Singing Competition TV Show. In 2015, Simona was a Pasadena Tournament of Roses Royal Court Princess, and was invited to participate in The Voice of China. She attended the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of Business, and a music minor.
