OBLVYN is Cat Bliemel, electronic music producer and visual artist from Edmonton, Canada. OBLVYN’s musical journey began at the age 5 with training in classical piano, playing guitar in a pop punk band, and completing a music degree in piano performance. After years of experimenting in several different styles of music, OBLVYN has created a unique sound that bends the boundaries of electronic music. With the use of keyboard performance, vocals, melodic soundscapes, and colourful timbres, her sound can be described as emotionally captivating and meticulously orchestrated. Influenced by artists like Skrillex, Seven Lions, Au5, Mr. Bill, Virtual Riot, Bring Me The Horizon, PVRIS… and taking inspiration from nature and the human experience, OBLVYN invites listeners on a sonic adventure that anyone can find themselves immersed in.
