From destructive bass drops to inventive melodies, Kozmoz captures two sides of the dubstep coin within his unique approach to production. His vision sonically encompasses both luminous and grimy tones throughout innovative soundscapes and vibrant collaborations. Kozmoz, also known as Matthias Seyss, currently resides in Saint Louis. With releases on Gud Vibrations, Heaven Sent, Subsidia, Halcyon and Disciple Round Table, he’s positioned at the forefront of modern bass music. He’s received support from Slander, DJ Diesel, Wooli, Riot Ten, Dirtyphonics, Hekler, Antiserum and Marauda, and has collaborations with Antiserum, Whales, and BAINBRIDGE. The Dystopia EP, his debut on Halcyon, set a new standard for the subgenre of future riddim and featured his collaboration Autonetic with Oolacile. Following up showing off his heavier side with his debut EP titled, “Cyber Resistance,” on Slanders & Nghtmre’s label, Gud Vibrations. Following up with a very heavy riddim debut EP titled, “Drop Out EP,” released on Disciple Round Table fall of 2022. Officially debuting the project for live performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre for support for Slander, Eptic & Wavedash, following up with another performance at the Aragon Ballroom for the Official Lollapalooza After show with Slander & Wavedash. Kozmoz’s unique sound design continues to advance the industry, and is nouveau in a way that encompasses both suspenseful tear out and colorful bass. The utopia created within his soundscapes channels both his roots of production and the contemporary twist that keeps his music fresh and appealing across the genre.
