Moving quickly from the studio to the club circuit, KANAKA is the sound of underground trap energy colliding with the weight and atmosphere of UK dubstep. Only two years into producing, the project is already turning heads through a combination of relentless studio output and a deep respect for the culture that shaped bass music. Pulling influence from modern trap, hard groove rhythms, and the dark minimalism of UK dubstep, KANAKA’s records are built for heavy systems and late night sets, balancing cinematic tension with raw club impact. What began as an experiment quickly evolved into real world momentum. Support from artists like FROSTTOP and ROSSY playing his tracks in their sets has helped introduce KANAKA’s sound to new audiences, while spins on Insomniac Radio from Alison Wonderland and LUMBERJVCK have further pushed the project into the wider bass music conversation. Signed releases on Circus Records and Japan’s We Die Young have helped establish KANAKA as an artist with a global perspective, blending modern festival energy with underground bass roots. At the core of the project is also a deeper mission: bringing more visibility to artists and creatives from the islands, where talent is powerful but opportunities and exposure can be few and far between.
