JNATHYN

JNATHYN (real name Jonathan Smith) is a 26 y/o Artist hailing from California, USA. Originally starting music production circa 2009, He immediately fell in love with the sounds of electronic music from bands like Daft Punk, Chromeo, Justice, & Danger. Mainly working in the Dance/Electronic genre, JNATHYN describes his music as a mixture of a heavy electro & funk elements, intertwined with dance music. Mainly releasing remixes and singles on his Youtube channel and Soundcloud from 2010-2013, JNATHYN then released his first album “Origins” in June 2014, being preceded by his second album (“Motions” 2015) and two EP’s (“Bleed” 2015 and “Tilt” 2018). 2018 -2019 JNATHYN posted a handful of remixes and singles before focusing sights on the app TikTok. Originally posting his remixes and singles for promotion, he started to switch styles and post ideos of his synthesizers and bassline ideas which quickly caught attention and gaining over 160,000 followers. Towards the end of 2020, JNATHYN had the demo for his track “Dioma” go viral across TikTok & other social media platforms then getting an official release on the NoCopyrightSounds record label February of 2021. JNATHYN went onto release his second NCS release “Rise” and then the official release of the “Dioma (demo)” in 2022.
