Jethimself

Jethimself is the decade-long alias of Jet Smith, a Chattanooga, Tennessee, native musician and visual artist. Music has proven to be an integral component of his life; he began training in classical piano at a very early age, which led to an eventual interest in electronic music around the beginning of his teen years. He later discovered progressive sounds linked to labels such as Portrait Digital, Macarize, and Silk, quickly becoming involved with them after developing a sound of his own and sharing it online, leading to the production of well-respected tracks such as "Canopy," "Lovejoy," and "Genesis." Today, Jet has reunited with his Australia-based collaborator Barzek, forming their new duo project, "DUALIS," to ultimately reconnect with the community at Monstercat Silk and reaffirm their place in progressive electronic music.
