Jack Newsome
Singer/songwriter Jack Newsome is a pop thoroughbred. The New Jersey native was raised in music, acting and playing classical piano at age 6. By 10 he was writing his own lyrics over songs by Bonnie Raitt and Melissa Etheridge. In his junior year of high school, Jack was signed to a Manhattan-based boyband project called “NY5”. His senior year, he spent the second semester in Berlin, Germany training in a “boyband boot camp” for a second project “New District”. After leaving the boyband circuit, Newsome studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston, studying the production stylings of Timbaland, Max Martin, Prince, and Pharrell. He quickly wound up relocating to Los Angeles for more opportunities. He secured a number of features and cuts including Said The Sky, Meghan Trainor, Grey, PLATINUM, Matt Sato, Sean Kingston, and more. After two years in LA, Newsome wound up as a finalist on NBC’s hit show Songland pitching an original to Kelsea Ballerini. Now, the young pop artist is set for new music in the Fall of 2020.
