Compound is a celebration of the local Vancouver community, showcasing the Railtown / Strathcona neighbourhoods’ multi-faceted influence in music, gaming, digital media & design, and technology.
A wide variety of Vancouver-based, creative and dynamic organizations participate to make this an engaging and accessible event for all ages and types of people. With their support, this event is made possible and allows us to continue to empower our creative and passionate local community.

Launched in 2013, Music Heals is a not-for-profit society and registered Canadian charitable foundation, with a mission to increase access to music therapy in Canada. They do this by raising funds and awareness for underfunded music therapy initiatives across the country, and are one of only two charitable organizations in Canada whose sole focus is music therapy.
Music Heals is Monstercat's charity partner for Compound for the fourth year in a row. We’re proud to be working again with this group of music enthusiasts who raise awareness of the healing powers of Music in innovative and creative ways. Pop over to their tent and say hello to find out more about the use of music as a form of therapy.
Sustainability at Compound
The environment and its sustainability are of utmost importance to Monstercat. We’re appreciative of everything the natural world offers, and do our best to give back whenever possible. We work closely with Keep it Green Recycling to ensure we do our very best to make this event as sustainable as possible.
