Storytelling lyrics and mellow vibes with a sweetly warm voice, LIJIN is a Chinese singer-songwriter who also plays the piano, Chinese instrument Erhu and the trumpet. Born and raised in the city of Chongqing, LIJIN started from classical music at the age of 3, then she discovered and became obsessed with Pop/R&B music in her teens. Inspired by artists including Taylor Swift, NIKI and Sabrina Claudio, as well as Chinese artist Tia Ray, she has formed her own songwriting and performing style.
While studying at Berklee College of Music majoring in Contemporary Writing & Production, she recently joined a Pop Fusion band named Flat Peach which consisted of other two guitarists graduated from Musician Institutes. Signed to Chinese record label Caotai Music, the band has just released their debut EP titled Kelly and will soon put out their first album, featuring 8 downtempo fusion tracks, including the 3 tracks in the EP.
